ARE HERE AGAIN
In 2020 we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe. 75 years ago, millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace and to look forward to a brighter future. This show brings you the songs heard at those parties, songs that won the war, good old fashioned singalongs and beautiful ballads. With the passing of the Forces' Sweetheart, Dame Vera Lynn, we will be paying a very special tribute to her and highlighting the significant role she played in keeping spirits high, with songs including When the Lights Go on Again , A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, I'll Be Seeing you, You'll Never Know, Now is the Hour, Lili Marlene, That Lovely Weekend and of course The White Cliffs of Dover and We'll Meet Again.
We can 'Meet The Gang' as we take you back to the ENSA concert party days, with songs from Arthur Askey, Gracie Fields and Flanagan and Allen to name a few. There is a good old fashioned knees up where you can singalong to Roll Out the Barrel, Side by Side, Let's All Go Down the Strand, Knees Up Mother Brown and Lambeth Walk. We will pay a respectful tribute to our Fallen Heroes, and there is a flag waving Last Night of the Proms Finale, including Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and There'll Always Be An England , where you are actively encouraged to join in!
The show is performed by Award Winning vocalists with incredible voices and amazing harmonies . With the sound of laughter and a magical touch, this feelgood show will lift your spirits and leave you with a smile on your face.
